Dr. White believes strongly in the ‘doctor as a teacher’ principle of naturopathic medicine and therefore takes the time in her appointments to teach the, “Why’s and What’s” of treatments. She reminds everyone that, much like a car, the body will eventually break down when its basic functions are out of balance and not supported.

Dr. Kelly Fujibayashi, Headshot
  • Dr. Kelly Fujibayashi is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and co-owner of Vancouver Naturopathic Clinic. From a very young age, she wanted to be a doctor and after a minor health incident where she looked closer at the medical options available to her, it was naturopathic medicine that left the biggest impact. The variety and efficacy of the treatments presented to her by naturopathic medicine inspired her on both her journey to recovery and her career path.

Her approach to practicing is both condition and patient dependent but the ultimate goal is to ensure her patients get the most from the least — big health improvements with as little intervention possible. She does this by focusing on the basic foundations of health: movement, stress, sleep, nutrition and digestion. Little changes to those core pillars of health have a big positive impact, ensuring that the patient is at their optimal state of wellness and feeling really good, naturally, before embarking on any other treatments that may be necessary.

Dr. Fujibayashi welcomes patients of all ages with a variety of health concerns, but has special interest in Women’s Health, specifically postpartum and sexual health.

She earned her bachelors in Science from the University of Victoria and completed four years of naturopathic medical training at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine, where she graduated in the very first graduating class. After graduation, Dr. Fujibayashi went on to teach a variety of classes at the Boucher Institute and eventually became the Associate Dean of Education.

Her license as a Naturopathic Doctor is with the College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC) and she is a member of the British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA).

  • Dr. Alexia Harris is a licensed naturopathic physician who began her academic path in 2004 at the University of Western Ontario where she studied medical sciences and biology, graduating with an Honors Bachelor of Science. She was working towards a career in medicine and eventually realized that her ultimate goal in life was to follow a path where her healthy lifestyle and profession would be completely aligned. It was her passion for nutrition, medicinal plants, and her understanding of the body’s innate ability to heal that ultimately guided her to pursue a career in naturopathic medicine.

In 2010, Dr. Harris moved to Vancouver, BC and decided to expand her knowledge in nutritional medicine and obtained a diploma in holistic nutrition from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. In 2013, she enrolled at the Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in New Westminster, BC, where she embarked upon her journey of becoming a naturopathic physician.

Dr. Harris has always been fascinated in human physiology and how the body functions as a complex integration of physical, mental, emotional and energetic components. Her practice is centered around this concept as she focuses on treating the whole person by gathering a comprehensive health history and focusing on treating the underlying causes of disease.

Through years of academic, clinical and personal experience, she understands that the body is designed to heal itself naturally when provided with the right environment. Her work is all about guiding her patients to discover this incredible healing potential by removing any obstacles to health, detoxifying and nourishing the body, re-establishing a balanced system, and supporting the body-mind and spirit. Ultimately her goal is to educate and empower her patients to take charge of their own health so they can start feeling better and experience optimal wellbeing.

Dr. Harris has experience treating the following acute and chronic conditions:

    • Digestive health and gastrointestinal disease (food sensitivities, gas and bloating, constipation, heartburn/GERD, food sensitivities, irritable bowel syndrome, small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO), ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, and parasite infections).

    • Skin health (acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, hives, fungal infections and other types of dermatitis).

    • Environmental toxicity (heavy metal toxicity, mold toxicity, occupational and environmental exposures, allergies, autoimmune disease and endocrine disorders).

    • Hormonal imbalances (premenstrual syndrome, polycystic ovarian syndrome, menstrual irregularities, endometriosis, perimenopause/menopause, adrenal dysfunction and thyroid imbalances).

    • Immune health and allergies (acute and chronic infections such as colds, flus, sinusitis, sore throat, cough, asthma).

    • Nervous system disorders (chronic stress, fatigue, anxiety, depression, headaches, insomnia, mood disorders).

Dr. Harris holds additional certifications in pharmaceutical prescribing, intravenous therapies, chelation therapy and acupuncture.

She is a member of the following:

    • College of Naturopathic Physicians of British Columbia (CNPBC)

    • British Columbia Naturopathic Association (BCNA)

    • Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND)

  • I work alongside patients by conducting Naturopathic testing, supplementation, and Intravenous treatments to achieve personal health goals. My mission is to provide a comprehensive approach to naturopathic medicine that gets to the root of my patients health concerns and provides effective long-term solutions.

My focus of practice offers and some of the most common concerns my patients have:

    • Gut Health, Digestive Conditions, Food Allergy Testing and Treatment

    • Weight Loss through Clinical Nutrition & Diet Therapy

    • Men and Women’s Health with Hormonal Testing and Treatment

    • Adjunctive Naturopathic Anti-Aging and Anti-Cancer Treatments

    • Intravenous (IV) Vitamin and Mineral Treatments

    • Cardiovascular Disease Treatment and Prevention

    • Chronic Conditions: Diabetes, Arthritis, Skin and Autoimmune Conditions

    • Neurological Conditions: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Multiple Sclerosis

    • Neural Therapy for Chronic Injuries, Pain and Scar Tissue

    • Acupuncture & Traditional Chinese Medicine

One of the most important philosophies of my practice is that true wellness is achieved through a balanced, healthy and happy lifestyle. Personally, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, trying new restaurants and playing volleyball in a competitive LGBTQIA2S+ league. An overarching focus of my practice is helping patients find a similar balance that is functional, non-restrictive and fits their lifestyle.

Additionally, my approach to Naturopathic Medicine concentrates on providing my patients with quality health care that is equally proactive and supportive in achieving optimum health. Family medical history, diet, short-term health concerns and long-term health goals are all important questions I ask my patients in their initial assessments. In conjunction, I see value in naturopathic testing and making an assessment based on actual results. This approach supports an ideal marriage between conventional and naturopathic medicine that allows each treatment plan I make to be unique to the condition and experience of each patient, while being supported by evidence-based medicine.
