Chronic Fatigue Management
What is Chronic Fatigue Management?
Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is more than just being tired. It is defined as a fatigue condition that can present with symptoms like muscle pains, headaches, nausea, short-term memory degradations and depression. Chronic Fatigue Management is utilized to manage, if not alleviate, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
How does it work?
Treatment requires a holistic approach, utilizing blood tests to determine if you have any underlying conditions, making lifestyle changes like diet and routine and prescribing any supplements or medications the doctor deems necessary. Treatment will vary according to lab results, symptoms, and the medical history.
What conditions does it treat?
Chronic Fatigue.
What can I expect during a treatment?
Treatments will vary depending on your symptoms and medical history.
The first step in treating Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is conducting specific lab tests to rule out hormonal imbalances, viral infections, environmental toxicity, and nutritional deficiencies that may exacerbate and/or contribute to Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.
The next step is focusing on lifestyle changes; improving sleeping habits, exercise frequency, introducing herbal supplements and evaluating diet choices. Occasionally we will implement an elimination diet removing potentially aggravating foods.
How many sessions are needed?
The number of sessions needed will be determined by the method of treatment chosen.
Our Approach
Throughout our treatments, we combine traditional and modern practices, extensive knowledge of the foundations of health and the gentle touch of someone who cares. The Principles of Naturopathic Medicine are our guiding light reminding us that every patient is unique so every treatment must be too; so, our first step is always getting a full picture of your whole health, physically, mentally and emotionally, to help us identify what is out of balance and determine a truly individual-to-you treatment plan.
We’re creative in our approach to healing and utilize all of the tools available to us including new technology, continued education and breakthrough treatments keeping us on the cutting edge of healthcare. However, we always come back to the Principles of Naturopathic Medicine and the knowledge and wisdom that has been handed down to us by our mentors and predecessors. That knowledge is woven into our practice everyday and continues to inspire us to stay true to our roots.
