Candida Testing
Naturopathic Physicians know that a healthy gut is key to a healthy body. There are several different assessments available to diagnose Candida in the body, including blood antibody, electrodermal and stool analysis.
Candida Albicans is a common species of fungus (yeast), small amounts of this fungus live in everyone and is a normal part of the body’s microbes in your gastrointestinal tract. However, too much of this fungus in the body has been linked to vaginal, skin, digestive and systemic health problems.
Several factors can contribute to the growth and subsequent imbalance and overgrowth of Candida Albicans in the body including frequent antibiotics, steroids, and hormone use, high sugar intake and immune suppression.
